We are pleased to announce that Mike Bain, CFA, has joined Silvant Capital Management as a Sector Portfolio Manager. His responsibilities will include covering the Software, IT Services, and Internet Software & Services companies in the Information Technology area for the Large Growth, Select Large Cap Growth and Small Cap Growth disciplines.


Before joining Silvant, Mike served as an equity research analyst in the Personal Asset Management division of SunTrust Banks, with sector responsibilities in Information Technology, Healthcare, Materials, and Utilities. Mike began his equity research career in 1996 and has worked as an analyst in the equity research departments of NatWest, HSBC, and Raymond James Securities, where he was responsible for researching small to large cap companies in the healthcare, analytical instrumentation, and logistics sectors. Additionally, during his tenure at Healthcare Business Advisors and Harbinger Research, Mike conducted independent research as well as provided consulting and capital raising services to both public and private companies.

Mike received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (1986) and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance (1988) from the University of Florida.
